We're updating our GEN10 HPe servers and we're getting errors now.
I've attached a screen shot, but we're seeing

This wasn't here until we did the firmware upgrade on the server, and we had nothing but problems with the old firmware dropping connections to VMs, and causing network hell.
We obviously don't want warnings showing up, suggestions?

I have asked a question in the past about quiescing and I know I was told where to turn it off. But what if I need quiescing to work? What options do I have
Here is the full errro
The guest OS has reported an error during quiescing. The error code was 5. The error message was VssSybStart operation failed: ( Dispatch error #8723 (0x80042413)
When we enabled the quiesce option then snapshot is failing with below error, without quiesce its working fine.
“fail with "snapshot creation failed, status 156 WRN - ALL_LOCAL_DRIVES is not frozen " Quiescing”

A few of our VDI users are complaining about UEM not saving there adjusted audio volume. I have not yet found a way to save this using UEM, is this even possible?
Besides that, the same users are also complaining about the default volume level being set to 100% every morning (floating desktops). Does someone have any tips about changing this in our golden image?

We have a problem when install a new Vm on a 6.0U1 esxi Vmware . We can start the installation steb, but at the first reboot we get an handel exception and the sysetm reboot continuosly.

what are the configurable settings or threshold to determine when a virtual machine is considered Oversized in vrealize Operations manager 6.7 ?
I was thinking about the UEM share for the user's profile data and the associated risk to a ransomware attack. It seems that if the user's files are stored on a central file share (with other users) that they're more at risk to a widespread ransomware attack, whereas user data that's stored in a writeable volume or via some other form of persistence is less at risk since the data is harder to get at and is stored in more isolated data silos. In the event ransomware got into the UEM share it could quickly wipe out everyone's user data.
I've experienced ransomware attacks in the past and typically whoever contracts the virus has the data on their machine encrypted as well as an network shares they have access to. Since access to other people's machines is not shared then the attack is limited to the scope of the user's network access (e.g. file shares/mapped network drives).
Any thoughts or experiences worth sharing? If there are precautions that I haven't thought of yet I'd love to implement them sooner rather than later. :-)
Just updated to Fusion 10.0.1 and I'm trying to setup a High Sierra Guest on my Sierra machine. On installation I get an error stating that it's "Unable to create the installation medium".
I recall seeing something similar with Fusion 8 and the Sierra developer previews, but as High Sierra is apparently supported as I guest I'm surprised that I'm getting this error.
How do you install a High Sierra Guest, before I installed a Sierra Guest and then upgraded but surely that should no longer be necessary.
IS there anyway to get a report of users with the writable vols disk size free space? I can only find it via the manager dash after clicking on each one. anyways to automate this with powercli. Is this stored in SQL?

I have a VMware workstation 15 server that was working yesterday. Today, it stopped. Its not listed under My Comupter. When I try to Open it using "Open a Virtual Machine" click on the .vmx file, nothing happens.
I have attached the .log file and the image of the directory.
How can I get this server back?

On vCenter 6.5 Build 8815520 (appliance), Hardware status is displayed as "unknown" for certain sensors on HPE G9 ESXi 6.5U2c.
I used the last custom iso provided by HP (VMware-ESXi-6.5.0-Update2-9298722-HPE-preGen9-650.U2.9.6.8.3-Sep2018.iso) and I upgraded the HPE G9 with the last SPP also provided by HP (P11740_001_spp-2018.11.0-SPP2018110.2018_1114.38.iso).

I am new to NSX-T but i understand the concepts as i have been working on NSX-V for quite some time now. I am planning to deploy a collapsed Edge and compute cluster. All hosts in the cluster have 4NICs. 2 NICs will be kept for VDS and 2 NICs for N-VDS. Could anyone point me to any deployment example like this where i can get to know from start how many transport zones i will have to create and how may N-VDS to be created while creating a host as transport node.
Also, i am planning to deploy Edges behind N-VDS and not behind VDS so any document for pre-requisite or steps would help?

Downloaded VMWare this afternoon after reading/hearing about how good it is after experiencing some frustration with VirtualBox.
Paid 70 pounds, downloaded and installed ... upon first attempt of setting-up a Windows VM, I get the 'Could not open /dev/vmmon: Broken pipe' error, try again with Linux Mint and get the same.
Reading these forums, it says lots about granting access through security settings which I have done. These weren't set so I made the changes and re-started but the error was still there.
I then attempted to uninstall the program to reinstall it ... this was also problematic as the program is not easy to fully remove - even with the removal instructions that uses the finder to remove hidden library files. Upon re-installation, things are still there from the first installation which suggests not everything had been removed. Two re-installations later and the error still comes up.
Could anybody please tell me how I even get support from VMWare? The 'get support' page asks me to select the program I require, but it is not listed in my account profile, despite me purchasing it from the account.
Help needed. Just paid 70 pounds for something that doesn't work.

I keep getting a message Host Hardware system board status. I have acknowledge and even reset to green but the error keeps coming back.
Dell is reporting no errors on the server and if we log into the esxi server directly there are no errors
