En el dia de hoy sustitui el disco afectado y el status del raid es ahora Optimo, pero en los logs me aparece el warning EPSecMux 35081(0x8910) Could not retrieve solutions configurartion from VSM: Connector Esception@tid=35088: CommunicationError: Failed to perform request. (Curl error 28: Timeout was reached).
Me pueden ayudar a entender a que se refiere y como eliminarlo

a few days ago i changed the __MACHINE_CERT of my vCenter Server to one trusted by my client. (Issued by my own CA). I also added my own CA-Certificate to the vCenter.
Everything works fine, no certificate error in browser.

But now i tried to upload an .iso File to a newly created Content-Library. This failes with the following error shown in the vCenter Log)

Im using vCenter 6.7.

The import of library item e058b94e-29bd-4808-8add-c2547dc3e0f5 has failed. 
Reason: Error transferring file isofilename.iso to

I have recently started a fork of vDeployhttps://github.com/jdmu/vDeploy to update, bug fix, and use in my 6.7 environment.

There is a weird issue that seems to be causing my VM deployments to fail. I have added a few checks and bug fixes along the way to help in my troubleshooting.

There is a section of code that we run, and (it seems) that every other time it runs, it will crash the vCenter web services.

At first I thought that this was a vSAN issue, but I was able to reproduce on a local SSD datastore as well.

The issue is pinpointed to an area where we are creating new hard disks, and adding them to SCSI controllers.

The command runs, and does actually work, but the vCenter crashes.

After running :

service-control --start --all

The VM will have the new SCSI controller set.

Here is a section of code that can reproduce the issue:

When  clicking the join button I receive the above message. I receive the same error message from the HTML5 and Flex clients. I don't know if it has anything to do with it but this vCenter server was linked to another vCenter server's SSO domain. That server is domain joined. I've not had any success finding information about this error. Anyone have any thoughts?

We've in the process of upgrading to Horizon View 7.4 but are having intermittent issues with USB Redirection not pulling through.

The error in the Horizon client just says "USB Redirection is not available for this desktop". Weirdly half the time it works and half of the time it does not, even from the same underlying client.
Impacts multiple users from multiple desktops.

Horizon client 4.7.0

Windows 7 underlying and VDI

GPO set to Automatically Connect on Startup and When Inserted

Never happens on older version of Horizon View (6.x), which is still our production environment. Not sure if relevant but another oddity we see is that if a USB device is plugged in during start up, and redirection is working, the USB device installs itself on every login even when drivers are available. This is another thing that never used to happen on older version of Horizon.

Any ideas?

i just upgraded my test environment to vCenter 6.7 and tested the new Backup Task, but it don't work.

In /var/log/vmware/applmgmt/backup.log i found:

I have a view 6 environment that has been operating for 3 years now (1 of which has been under my administration). Just last week, users could connect remotely (to security gateway), see their desktop pool and select it (static assignments/persistent disks). It begins to load the desktop, then immediately says server connection was lost. This environment has been stable for a long time and the certs have not expired. I have no idea why this happened and the logs on all servers involved don't show anything of value.

Firewall rules have not changed on edge FW or servers

No updates have been applied to any of the servers (MSFT or Vmware)

Servers are green in view admin page (Sec servers are red but that's due to self signed certs)

I know a lot of people point first to FW rules, I've triple checked the rules and the Windows FW's are disabled at the moment, yet the problem persists.

I get the same outcome if I try:

External >> Sec Gateway >> Connection Server

Internal >> Sec Gateway >> Connection Server

Internal >> Connection Server

I'm not extremely familiar with the view/horizon environment, but the KB's and discussions have not yielded any insight to my issue.

I need to create a custom Resource Action for a Deployment.  That is, I want to add a custom Action to the Actions menu for an entire Deployment.

However, I can't seem to figure out what the vRO data type is that backs the deployment.    That is, what should the data type be for the input to the vRO workflow?

several of the users have complained that when using VMware to log in from home they cannot use the keyboard while using an IBM System i (AS400) 5250 terminal emulator.

The users are using VMware 4.10. They can connect to the network and the keyboard does work there, but when they start an IBM terminal emulator, they lose the keyboard in that window. This would be very similar to the user's question who was having trouble using PUtty and losing the keyboard.

One of our users downloaded VMware 4.3, and reports he has the functionality of his keyboard restored.

I, myself, cannot reproduce this problem from home, I am strictly a Linux users at home. On my 2 home computers with Ubuntu 16.4 LTS, using VMware 4.10, I do not have those issues with the keyboard while running IBM terminal emulation.

Help would be appreciated. Is there a configuration item in 4.10? Is there a work-around? I don't want to tell my uses that they must all downgrade.

I think i have tried everything with i have found to create a  wildcard certificate for horizon for the past several days. and nothing has worked.  i get errors like

"This site can’t provide a secure connection localhost uses an unsupported protocol."  or

"err_ssl_version_or_cipher_mismatch"

all which do not allow the interface to come up.

Happy New Year! I just changed the default gateway for my hosts (background info on the post Can't ping new IPs on esxi 6.0 hosts  ). Everything seems to be working now, but I'd like to understand more about the esxi internal networking (I haz learning?). I hope I can explain my question without getting too convoluted.

vSwitch0 has vmkernel vmk0 with the old management IP (let's call it IP 1) and a port group named VM Network. vSwitch3 has a vmkernel vmk5 with the new management IP (IP 2) and a bunch of port groups named for all the VLANs we're using. One of those VLANs is for the same subnet that I have for vSwitch0. After changing the gateway, now I can ping IP 2 from a different network but not IP 1. That's all as expected. What I don't get is, I have VMs in the old port group in vSwitch0 and they have IPs in the same subnet as IP 1, and I can still ping them. How can I ping VMs in that vswitch, but not the management IP that is in the same subnet? Does the host automatically connect port groups that use the same subnet on different vswitches?

Using Postman.... is it possible to pass multiple vm's when making an API call to:

                     -find the resourceID's and only return the resourceID

                     -pass in the resourceID's to show the property "summary|parentvcenter" for each vm

Use case: We need to know the parent vcenter for 100 vm's located across multiple vcenters and multiple vROps instances via the API.... I know powershell will work, but what about Postman?  Thanks.

I am planning to upgrade vCenter Server 6.0 Essentials to vCenter Server 6.5

I am planning to upgrade all our ESXi hosts from vSphere 6.0 to vSphere 6.5 U2 - the max for our platforms.

I have received good info from internet, vmware, and the forum. but I still have questions.

I have seen where upgrading vCenter Server is really a migration to another ESXi host, then changing ips, etc.

We are using an HP DL380p for the "host" for the vCenter Server. Am I required to have another physical host

to perform the upgrade/migration or can I perform upgrade/migration to the same host, or another vm?

That part of the upgrade is not clear to me.

the usual app dialogs are way too large on a 3 Monitor system.

The dialog comes up with 7832x129 pixels

     Monitor 2 is a 4K Monitor, but set to 2560x1440 / 100 %

     Monitor 1 is a 4K Monitor,  3840x2160 / 100 % ( Main Display )

     Monitor 3 is a 4K Monitor, but set to 2560x1440 / 100 %

I'm running Windows 10, latest patch level, VmWare 15.0.2 build-10952284

Any ideas how to fix this?

       VSAN用两块硬盘作RAID0 VD 作为容量盘，现在一快硬盘foregin 一块硬盘faild，

        在web client下显示的磁盘组信息如下，

         但是登陆esxi主机用 “esxcli vsan storage list”并没有显示Absent vsan disk （vsan uuid:xxxx）这块VD信息

       在磁盘组中无法删除这块raid0 VD,显示错误 如下，

各位大神如何删除这个absent vsan Disk信息呢。
