The short and skinny: I want to invest in myself a little in the near future, and add a VCP cert to my credentials.
I've gone to the VMW education site and have the gist of HOW one obtains the cert (attend the install, manage, configure course, have enough knowledge on your own to be able to solve problems, take exam). My question is "can I take the required class from companies other than VMW, and if so, how do I identify which ones I can take the class from?" I ask because I'd hate to throw thousands of dollars down the drain on classes only to find that it served no purpose in fulfilling a VCP cert
prerequisite. And it seems that the classes hosted by VMWare itself are the most expensive out there. This is coming out of my own pocket, so
cost savings matter. Lastly, if a class can be done through an authorized 3rd party vendor, does anyone have a recommendation for a trainer in the Seattle area?
