We're looking to implement vSGA in our View 5.2 environment.
We have a number of questions:
1. What solution (card) provides the best bang for the buck? We're looking at everything from the Quadro series (4000-6000) to the Grid K1,K2 cards.
2. How much video RAM needs to be given to the average user who just wants streaming video to not be so glitchy?
Environmental Notes:
Our final rollout of View will be potentially to about 600 users over four ESXi hosts (currently < 100 users on the four hosts). I imagine most of our users could get by without vSGA, and the ones that would need it shouldn't need anything too heavy as far as 3D rendering goes.
The biggest push for video acceleration is coming from users trying to watch video over PCoIP.
Thanks in advance!
