I've been working on upgrading our esxi hosts from 4.1 to 5.1 and ran into a problematic host. It was previously upgraded to 5.1.0 build 1021289 without issue using update manager. Now, however, when I run a scan of the host with a baseline consisting of both critical and non-critical patches it finds that the host is non-compliant with 4 missing patches. I've remediated it numerous times, but each time it just completes without installing the missing patches. I've updated the firmware and drivers of the host as well as rebooted it in the meantime, but still the same thing.
I notice from the vum logs that other VIBs seem to make these patches obsolete (if i'm reading it right), but then why isn't VUM simply filtering them out as not being necessary? Pictures to help explain attached.
