Hi Everyone.
I'm brand new to this forum. I've been managing the Virtual Environment at my company for about 3 years now. I started on vCenter 2.5 / ESX 3.5, and I recently upgraded to vCenter / vSphere 4.1. I figured it was time to get some actual training since our environment is growing quickly (2 x vCenters / 25 hosts / 100+ VMs). Anyway, I enrolled in the VMware vSphere: Install, Configure, Manage http://V4.1 classes, and they begin next week. I'm sure 95% of the information discussed in this class will be new to me.
I guess I'm wondering when would be an appropriate time to schedule the VCP 4.1 exam? How long after the classes should I wait before attempting the exam / How much studying time should I give myself before attempting the exam? Will what I learn in the classes be enough to pass the exam? Any other tips?
Thanks in advance!
