Can anyone provide a list (and doc if possible) of the management traffic examples? I know it's used to configure vmware through vsphere client or web client, but what else? I'm thinking maybe cloning across datastores or hosts?
also, I'm going to use network io control and would like to know how much bandwidth to make sure it has available to it. for example, we are only letting vmotion use up to 5Gbps out of the 6 we have so that the majority of the times guests will not be hitting a congestion limit against it. yes netioc will adjust appropriately but I wanted to make sure that short delay is never there and that there's always room for others even if the allocation adjustment isn't working correctly.
