Hello All,
I am new to virtual machines so I apologize for the newbie question. Currently I have a HP ML350 G6 running ESXi 5.0.0 on a 4GB SD Flash card hosting two virtual machines, and licenses for vSphere 5 Essentials and vCenter Server 5 Essentials. I also have a RAID5 setup with (6) 146GB SAS Drives. I am planning on removing all six drives and replacing them with 300GB drives and building a RAID6 array. My question is, what would be the best practices for moving the the two VMs from the current RAID array to the new RAID array? Would it be as simple as making clones or backups of the VMs, swapping the drives, building the new array and restoring the VMs? If anyone could point me in the right direction that would be great!
Thanks all!
