I just signed up for VMUG Advantage and received product keys and downloads for Horizon View Advanced Edition. The provided executables were for Horizon View, version 6.2.0 build-3005368. When I try to license it, I get an error "License data could not be obtained for this product type". Has anyone seen this before? There's virtually no information online about this.

Hi,
I recently updated the certificates on our vRA 6.2. The old certificate is going to expire tomorrow. vRA was installed using a wildcard certificate from a certificate authority. I renewed the certificate and installed it following the instructions in the following link:

After completing those instructions I was able to log into vRA, and the certificate has been updated, however I get a Bad Request error on the pages in the Infrastructure tab.
The other issue I noted is that the iaas-service service in the appliance management page is not showing as registered.
This is the error I get; it shows up on every tab in the Infrastructure page.

Protocol - PCOIP and RDP
a group of users is not able to modify the display setting on horizon view client side to be able to use dual monitor functionality. The same settings work from other location.
On the horizon client >right click on the desktop>Display > All monitors . THis is grayed out for users at one location. Any suggestion please .
I have a problem with virtualized applications with ThinApp 5.2.1 and Windows 10. In other operating systems work perfectly, but in Windows 10 gives me the following error: " ThinApp has encountered an unexpected error. Click Abort to close the application, Retry to debug, or Continue to ignore the error. Support info PID=3564, create_process.cpp@1949.
They are compatible with the virtualized ThinApp Applications in Windows 10 ?

What info do you guys need from me regarding my hardware, etc, in order to determine if I am just beating a dead horse or if I can actually get through this install.

Hello all, I've developed an "Intelligent" shutdown / startup script using PowerShell for my setup. I've come across an issue where VMs that power down after vCenter has been powered off will have a duplicate VM on two different hosts, when powering up depending on which VM is started there will be a slew of problems usually identified by the VM having an APIPA address, and the other VM NICs giving an invalid configuration error when attempting to Connect the NICs.
Overview of the setup:
ESXi 5.5
3 Nutanix blocks
12 total ESXi hosts
DRS rules in place for several VMs (the VMs that power off after vCenter has been powered off are in DRS)
High Availability enabled
70-100 VMs
The script powers the VMs off using the PowerCLI command, then enters a loop checking for a Powered Off state with PowerCLI.
Power off has to be done in this order:
Secondary VMs
vCenter
SQL
Domain Controllers
The issue only seems to happen on the VMs powered off after vCenter.
The reading I've done makes mention of HA being a possible culprit; when shutting down in the same order manually this issue does not arise.
The VMs in question will also display a question when attempting to power them on (copied / moved / cancel).
The vCenter database is housed on SQL.
Hope my thoughts aren't too unorganized, any and all help is appreciated!

I have inherited a new vmware infrastructure at work. Our client has set up a vmware host with 2 guest servers. One is the DC and the other is a TS. I can login to the host using the vsphere client but from the data I am provided with has no info about the vcenter server. I really want to know what is the vcenter IP so I can login to the vCenter server and make some changes.
I can login to the host with no issues with the vsphere client but i want to know how do I find out what is the IP of the vcenter server?

Does anybody know the root password for the Photon VMs that are deployed by the script? I am using version 1.5.0.3.
I can login to the initial OVA VM, but the deployed VMs do not use the same credentials.

3. VMware view horizon client 3.0 is not supported on windows 10. Support starts from version 3.5 and latest is 4.1.0 ? please confirm ?

Two days ago I created a clone of a VM (Windows Server 2012 guest).I ran Windows customization and all went well. However since then both VM (clone and original) suspends automatically after some time during the time. On the same Hosts other VMs are running and they do not suspend
I also see for both VM this message in the logs since I cloned them.
Task set console Windows Screen Resolution - A General System even occured invalid vault.
I must be related to the cloning operation, but not sure why and how to fix it. Looking at the datastore browser there are two folder for both vm. It looks both VM are Independent.

How would you go about a deciding on the management cluster configuration, I assume a new 4 node management cluster split 50/50 across the 2 metro locations and 3 NSX controllers ?

I follow some instructions from a YouTube video. Everything works except that I get a blue screen when windows 7 startup.
I get 2 options
The first option is this screen, just the Command Prompt and the startup repair works.
But starting with the second option, windows boot normally. The Windows 7 loading screen is showing but after some seconds i get a blue screen then windows starting the same as before with these 2 options again.
Now, i know why these problems showing up. Because the drivers, the old motherboard...etc. But i in the most videos, it works
Is there an option to fix this? I really need this because i buy an new laptop. The old laptop, video card has gone... Well, you can said, i can put just the old HDD with the adapter into an USB port from the new laptop and lets copy... But its over 400GB

I have a VM for DragonFly BSD. It runs on a laptop on Windows 7 Pro and the virtual machine files, including the disks, are on a NTFS compressed folder.
After some time the VM stopped working because it can't access the VMDK file:
I have tried to repair it and even though it reports the problem as fixed the VM still can't start up correctly or right after it does the problem occurs.

With our latest deployment of vRA 7.0.1 we are now receiving email notifications that contain the AD plugin password in plain text. These email notifications look a lot different than what we had for vra 6.X. According to the documentation, we should be able to change this in the template files on the IaaS server. We looked in %systemdrive%\Program Files(x86)\VMware\vCAC\Server\Templates at the LeaseAboutToExpire.xslt and ManagerLeaseAboutToExpire.xslt. These templates do not seem to match the information we are seeing in the emails.
For example, the email subject and footer contents do not match anything in the template file:
The footer has a link like:
"Click here to view the Deployment details"
Whereas the template file has different text, which does not mention the word "Deployment" anywhere. For example:

We are having a hard time understanding the template and how it works. I see different text in there like "Lease for" and "will expire on", that I do not see anywhere in the actual email.
Does anyone know how to go about removing the ad plugin password from the email notifications or customize the exact fields that show up in the email?

Just curious if View agent 6.2.3 is backward compliant? We are currently running Horizon View 6.2.2 and use Unidesk to deliver applications. One of the things we have noticed once we upgrade the agent software it seems to delete the PCoIP counters in Perfmon - have tried a number of workarounds, but nothing seems to work.
Saw that 6.2.3 was just released, so wondering if there would be any issues with trying to install this version of the agent in a 6.2.2 environment?
